Ulys – Looking for an Experienced New Home

Ulys is currently looking for a new home in experienced Dogo Argentino hands. Despite his excellent general health and typical Dogo Argentino temperament, Ulys presents several morphological faults that make him unsuitable for breeding purposes. For this reason, he will be placed exclusively as a sport and companion dog NOT suitable for breeding or dog shows.

We are looking for a responsible and experienced home that understands the characteristics and needs of this powerful and intelligent breed Interested parties are kindly asked to provide a detailed introduction and to arrange a personal meeting in advance.

Ulys will not be placed in households with other male dogs, cats or small animals, children under six years of age.

He is accustomed to staying home alone for reasonable periods, has a solid basic obedience foundation, and is actively trained and handled in dog sports (THS – canine athletic sport).

Our priority is to find a suitable lifelong home where Ulys can continue to live an active and fulfilling life.

Character: 

• Hard on the outside soft at heart

• Very affectionate and loyal within the family, Naturally reserved and skeptical toward strangers

• Strong territorial instincts

• Stable temperament with a medium stimulus threshold and high drive 

  • Responsive and controllable despite pronounced play and prey drive 

• Intelligent, extremely strong, agile, and highly enduring

• Very eager to work and often requires guidance rather than motivation

• Low-maintenance and uncomplicated in daily care and feeding 

• Social within a familiar group of dogs, but tends to be selective or intolerant toward unfamiliar dogs

• Not suitable for first-time dog owners, has a pronounced independent mindset
